ブログ用のPHPとWordPressのバージョンアップ

さくらのサーバを2009年から使ってこのブログをWordpressで実装しているけれど、PHPのバージョンが低くて（5.4）Wordpressを最新版にバージョンアップできない、というメッセージが出るようになってしまいました

ということで、PHPをバージョンアップして、それからWordpressを最新版（5.6）にバージョンアップしてみました

今まであんまりバックアップとか本番の手前のステージング環境とか気にしてなかったけれど、PHPのバージョンアップをするとなると、ちょっと不具合がおきそうだな、ということも考え、調べてみると、とってもさくらのレンタルサーバが使いやすくなっていて、ポチポチクリックするだけで、ステージング環境でのPHP最新バージョンでの稼動確認ができるようになってました
ステージングサーバは１台無料で立てられるみたい
バックアップもポチッとボタン押すだけで取れました

本番機へのPHPバージョンアップも選択してポチッとワンクリックのみ

こうして無事にバージョンアップが完了しました＾＾
PHP 5.4 -> 7.4
WordPress 5.? -> 5.6

今年は４本ブログ書いた（去年は３本、一昨年２本）
毎年ちょびっとしかかかないけれど、WPのエディタがだいぶ変わってたり、ちょこっとしか触らなくとも進化に触れられるのはとてもよいことですね
